Lance has had the opportunity to personally use and teach these methods to private students, rehabs, corporates and a variety of conscious events.
As a result he has decided to make this his life pursuit because of the impact and change it’s had on the lives of others. Lance will be teach Qi in Motion and Qi Integration classes.

Qi in Motion is about learning to promote the movement of Qi through the body. It is easy to learn and enjoyable to do. Even a few minutes of practice can have an invigorating and rejuvenating effect. Regular practice brings about a deep strengthening effect for the whole body and its various systems. Some Qi movements are very gentle, others more vigorous. Some movements are very large and expansive, others are more subtle, almost imperceptible. All are different and have a very specific effect on body and mind. The deeper one practices, the more one can appreciate the purpose of each movement, allowing the practice to become ever more enjoyable. Qi expressed through movement can have a powerful effect on mind, body and spirit. Some of the reported benefits included increased general health and well-being, reduced levels of stress, and a brighter and more balanced outlook on life’s possibilities.

Courtney Collins: Jivamukti Vinyasa Yoga Teacher

Jivamukti Yoga:                          Saturday 09:00 – 10:30

Courtney found yoga in her 3rd year of studying Human Biology and Psychology Degree in Stellenbosch, doing a home practice and learn’t everything she knew from youtube videos. She realized that Yoga gave her the Soul part of the Body and Mind combination that she was already studying. When the Universe gave her the gift of doing her 200hr Jivamukti Vinyasa Teacher Training course at AIR Yoga, she was absolutely overjoyed and knew it was Divine Timing. Courtney is a life-long student of personal & self development and hopes through her own process and journey, she can inspire others to dream, develop, play, enjoy, share, expand and grow too.

Jivamukti yoga is a vigorous and creative style of vinyasa yoga. The Jivamukti method is a physically and intellectually stimulating practice emphasizing spiritual awareness.  Each class focuses on a theme, which is supported by asana sequencing, yogic breathing, music, meditation and explorations of yogic philosophy. Expect hands-on assists to support your alignment.
The Jivamukti Open class is open to practitioners of all levels. You work at your own pace, following the teacher’s verbal as well as hands-on guidance. Asana options will be provided for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. A typical Open class incorporates the five tenets of Jivamukti Yoga: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (kindness), nada (music) & dhyana (meditation).
An Open class presents classical yoga teachings as relevant to one’s life on and off the mat, drawn from the Focus of the Month essay, supported by chanting, breath awareness, flowing vinyasa sequences, alignment exploration, hands-on assistance, relaxation and meditation. All Open classes include 14 points—asanas, meditation and spiritual teachings—in a sequence creatively designed by the teacher. Exuberant, eclectic music plays an integral role.

IMG_0381The practice of yoga has been a central part of Kate’s life for 7 years and became evermore so grounded when she went to India in 2016 and 2017. For Kate yoga is a practice of aligning my body and my mind with the integrity and truth of my spirit.

In her classes you can expect lightness, intensity, a slow and steady pace that facilitates this alignment. Kate teaches a form of Hatha that allows you to tap into the depth and breadth of poses whilst also allowing for flow within the body and the breath, cultivating strength, stability, mobility, and flexibility. These principles will in turn integrate into the aspects of our minds. You will move from a place of joy and also have fun and laugh as much as possible 🙂

We look forward to seeing you in class. Namaste.
